Description

This class will give students a unique opportunity to experience Chinese musical traditions while learning about other cultures in an engaging, hands-on way. Each student will have an erhu instrument to play during each class. 

  • Learn about the history and cultural significance of the erhu
  • Explore the fundaments of Chinese music
  • Develop basic erhu playing techniques

Learn simple melodies while being introduced to basic Mandarin vocabulary and musical terms in a fun and accessible way.

Participants must currently be in grades 5 to 9.
